Last night, the Dublin performance group The Circle Sessions invaded the Sugar Club stage for an explosion of music, poetry, comedy, spoken word and rap. I was honoured to share the stage with a legion of ridiculously talented friends, and to perform on the amazing stage with guitarist Ian Temple. It was incredible to see performers I share a stage with every week given the opportunity to bring amazing new elements to their acts, and raise the bar higher and higher for Irish artists. What a sick buzz it was to play a venue such as the Sugar Club!

Massive congratulations to all the acts who played the showcase- you did the Circle Sessions very proud! Thanks to David Halpin for organising the show and Róisín Whelan for ensuring the night ran smoothly, to the Sugar Club staff who helped us set up, to the awesome guy who asked me for a CD and to Liam Oragh for the CD swap, to the fabulous audience, and to Joe Wrenn, Ciarán Callan and Sarah Buckley for the lovely pictures you see below. Well done Circle Sessions- the bar has officially been raised!
