The launch for Detonation Day and Circle Sessions showcase is three weeks and three days away. In other words, it has evolved from a vague plan into an actual thing.  The CDs are being manufactured, the sweets are (almost all) bought, and the posters are being dropped off today. Not to mention the line-up for the truly incredible Circle Sessions showcase has been confirmed! And the full list is:

David Halpin
Jeremiah Day
Shauna Byrne
Luke Clerkin
Sarah Buckley
Daniel Wade
B-mused
Josey Wales & La Machina
Naoise O’Brien

I am buzzing, honoured and incredibly grateful to be sharing the stage with these creative forces of talent on this very special night. The Circle Sessions is host to some of the greatest talent in Ireland, and for almost a year now, has been my creative home and family.  This is going to be utterly epic.

In other news, yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of my first ever performance as a poet. It was with Friday Arts at No5, and it was also the performance that introduced me to the Circle Sessions, and it seems like a fitting opportunity to take stock of all the chances I’ve had since, and how far I’ve come as a performer, a writer, and also as a human.
